Who is the LGBA?

The LGBA is a statutory body with an annually elected board, representing more than 350 households in the Roodeplaat area, more specifically, the original farms, Leeuwfontein, parts of Kameeldrift, Zeekoegat, and Kameelfontein.

Where does the LGBA come from?

The LGBA had its origin when this area was plunged into a similar security crisis. It was the first mouthpiece for the residents of the area, and succeeded in making Leeuwfontein and surrounding areas a safer environment year after year, through the involvement of the members. A handful of people who refused to become victims of criminals through fear and intimidation, grew and seeded in the area.

What does the LGBA do?

The purpose of the LGBA is to pursue the necessary protection and safety actions.

We can only achieve this goal through cooperation with the community, the SAPS, the SAPS Reserve Service and existing Area Protection Action Committees of adjacent and surrounding areas within the municipal area of Nokeng.

The LGBA has, according to its constitution, certain functions and duties towards its members and indirectly also the neighbours of such members.

The Mission of the LGBA

The mission of the LGBA is to ensure, on a Christian non-political party basis, the necessary protection for all residents of the area.
